It is a beautiful album of short pieces which flow into one another, mood improvisations with guitar (picked and with some reverb, some zither and mandolin?) and droning strings instruments (sitar, church organ, pipes and hurdy-gurdy I think), and melancholic-happy flute accompaniments (with birds). Psyche van Het FolkLimited CD-R Edition on Merlins Nose Records! Rerelease of the now rare cassette by Sloow Tapes, that was limited to 70 copies. Post-Pilz folk instrumentals from the mountains of Tyrol. Jahrtal is the one-man project of Ewald Spiss, who has been involved in music and art since the early eighties. Tranquil melodies, exotic instrumentation echoing peaceful from mountains and woods. Includes bonus tracks and new mastering. |
